Society of Radiology and Medical Imaging of the Republic of Moldova
We are an independent professional association uniting specialists in radiology and medical imaging from the Republic of Moldova, dedicated to excellence in diagnostic imaging, continuing education and professional development.
Our mission
Promoting excellence in medical imaging through continuing education, research and implementation of the highest European standards of diagnosis and treatment. We ensure the professional development of radiologists in Moldova and contribute to improving the quality of medical services for patients.

History and evolution
1952 — 2026
Over 70 years of activity in the development of radiology and medical imaging in the Republic of Moldova.
Founding of the society
The Society of Radiology and Medical Imaging was founded as an independent association of radiologists in the Republic of Moldova, aiming to promote the science and practice of radiology.
Development of radiological services
A period of consolidation and expansion of radiological services at the national level. The first republican radiology conferences were organized and practice standards were established.
Republican conferences
By 2000, 9 republican radiology conferences had been organized, significantly contributing to the professional development of Moldova's radiology community.
European integration
The beginning of strategic partnership with the European Society of Radiology (ESR) and European School of Radiology (ESOR), opening new horizons for radiology education and practice in Moldova.
Digital era and modernization
Implementation of digital platforms for education, launch of the personal member portal, organization of online and hybrid events, European-level CME accreditation.
Over 800 active members
SRIMM has over 800 active members, annually organizes national conferences, ESOR European schools and actively participates in ESR programs at the international level.
